For Families of Capable Students Who Keep Slipping

You've already tried
the sensible things.

The Clarity Formation is 12 weeks of one-on-one coaching that fixes the habits behind missed work. Your child becomes calm, confident and independent, and your evenings become yours again.

Sound Familiar?

You Know What They're Capable Of

That's what makes it so hard. They do well for a stretch, and then the missing assignments come back. The grades slip. And every night ends the same way, with you asking "did you do it?" and both of you walking away frustrated.

You don't want to be the homework police. You want to trust that they've got it, and know they'll be okay next year, when nobody's checking.

Before Formation, a parent texts at 9:41 PM asking if the history essay was turned in. After Formation, the student texts their weekly plan on Sunday without being asked. Tuesday, 9:41 PM Did you turn in the history essay? yeah Like, actually turned in? omg yes AFTER FORMATION Sunday, 7:12 PM Planned my week. Bio lab’s done, history essay’s due Thursday. Love that. Proud of you. THIS WEEK’S WIN Planned the week without a reminder.
Why It Keeps Happening

Grades are the symptom,
not the goal.

Tutoring helps with tonight's homework. Planners help for a few weeks. Neither changes the habits underneath, so the same problems keep coming back. Formation starts with the root cause, and rebuilds from there.

How Formation Works

Twelve Weeks to Independence

We give close support at first, then step back on purpose, until your child is running it on their own.

  1. This Week

    Complimentary Call

Tell us what's been happening, and ask anything you like.

  2. Before Week 1

    Root Cause Snapshot

A written report on what's really in the way, yours to keep.

  3. Weeks 1–12

    Formation

Eighteen one-on-one sessions, twice a week at the start and once a week by the end, plus a Friday report every week.

  4. Week 12

    Final Review

Your child walks you through the system they built.

01
Weeks 1–4 · Twice a Week

Find Their Footing

The chaos settles.

Two sessions a week, one in person and one online. We uncover what's really in the way, get every assignment onto one page, and build a simple daily start. The missing work begins to disappear.

02
Weeks 5–8 · 3 Every 2 Weeks

Build the Habits

The effort finally shows.

Three sessions every two weeks, as they start carrying more on their own. We change how they study, so test grades start matching the work they put in. Fewer surprises, fewer late nights, and a student who starts to believe in themselves.

03
Weeks 9–12 · Once a Week

Hand Over the Keys

They lead. You relax.

One online session a week. Your child plans their own week and brings the plan to us. At the end, they walk you through the system they built, and how they'll keep it going.

Before Week One

It Starts With Finding the Root Cause

Before we change anything, your child takes the Root Cause Snapshot. It scores eight areas, from planning to how they study, and shows exactly where the effort is leaking.

You get the written report to keep. It's the map for the next twelve weeks, and the baseline we measure the change against.

A Root Cause Snapshot report showing scores for eight areas, such as Goals and Planning and Practice and Perseverance, each marked Priority or Developing. Names and scores have been changed for privacy.

"Saugat is excellent at diagnosing the core issue. He is able to target multiple different areas of need; whether math, science, reading, or writing. He approaches the person as a whole and targets future needs by helping plan next steps. He also holds the student accountable for follow-through. It is a worthwhile investment of time and money."

Questions

Is Formation Right for Your Child?

Who is Formation for?

Capable students in honors, AP, IB or demanding private schools who do well for a stretch, then slip. They don't need to be excited, just willing to try. If you need tomorrow's test covered, a tutor is the faster fix, and we'll tell you so.

Is this tutoring?

No. Tutoring helps with tonight's homework. Formation gives your child the tools for tomorrow's. If a subject is the issue we'll cover it, but for capable students it rarely is.

My child doesn't want another adult telling them what to do.

We won't be. Your child sets their own goals in their own words and chooses their own tools. That's why it sticks.

Do you work with students who have a diagnosis?

Yes. Coaching isn't treatment, so it works alongside whatever support your child already has.

Give Them the Tools. Get Your Peace Back.

Start with a complimentary call. You'll leave with a written report on what's really in the way, whether or not we work together.
