Privacy & Data Use

All personal and session data are confidential and used only to enhance your learning. We do not share your information without consent.

The Family Portal

The family portal is a private, invite-only area of this website for families working with Clarity Academics. It is for parents, guardians and students in middle and high school. It is not meant for children under 13. A student account is only created when a parent or guardian adds their student and gives permission.

What we keep

• Account details: names, email addresses, a parent’s phone number if given, and a student’s grade and school.
• What you add: messages, homework and study logs, check-in ratings, and session notes and recaps.
• Sign-in and security records: when an account signs in, the type of browser used, and a record of changes to accounts, so we can keep accounts secure.
• Permission records: when a parent agreed to the terms or gave permission for their student’s account.

How we use it

Only to coach your student, run and schedule sessions, and send portal emails such as invites, sign-in links and notices. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except with the services that run the portal for us: Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database) and Resend (email). Analytics and session-recording tools do not run on portal pages.

Who can see what

• Parents can see their own family’s information, including their student’s logs and their student’s messages with Saugat.
• Students can see their own information. They can’t see the parents’ private thread with Saugat.
• Saugat can see every family he works with. Some coaching notes are kept private to him.
• No family can see another family’s information.

Keeping it safe

Families sign in with single-use links sent by email, so there are no passwords to steal. Information travels over encrypted connections, and every request is checked so each family only reaches its own records.

How long we keep it

We keep portal information while your family works with Clarity Academics and for one year after, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.

Your choices

A parent or guardian can ask to see, download, correct or delete their family’s information, or close an account, at any time by emailing clarityacademics@gmail.com.

Policy Updates

Clarity Academics may update these policies; we’ll notify you 14 days before changes take effect.
